Forgot your Alipay account password? Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. It is very easy to reset your Alipay account password. Below is a step-by-step guide on recovering your account.
Launch your Alipay app. Tap on Quick log in for Taobao users button.
You will then automatically launch the Taobao app. Tap on Allow Login button in the Taobao app to use the Taobao app to log in into Alipay, as shown below.
The Taobao app will direct you back to the Alipay App. You are now logged in to your Alipay account, even if you don't remember your password.
Launch your Alipay app. Tap on the Log in button to login to your account.
Enter your Alipay account in the format of cc-xxxxxxxxxx or cc-xxxxxxxx, where cc is your country code and xxxxxxxx is your mobile phone number. For example, if you are using a US mobile phone number, the format you would enter is 1-3216549870 .
Tap on Forgot password? button as shown below.
Tap on the Yes button to get an SMS from Alipay to log in your account.
Within a few seconds, Alipay servers would send you an SMS with the verification code, as shown below.
Enter the verification code sent to you from the SMS into the Alipay App's textbox, as shown below.
Alipay App will automatically go to this screen once you entered the correct verification code. Enter your new password of 8 to 20 characters here. It is recommended that you set a password instead of skipping directly to use Alipay. Alternatively, you can directly skip adding a new password and tap on the Skip and go to Alipay button.
Tap on the Save button to save your new password, as shown below.
Once you have saved your password, a confirm popup will appear. Tap on the confirm button to confirm your new password for both Alipay and Taobao account.
You will then be taken to the main screen of the Alipay app, and you are now logged in to your Alipay account.
Congratulations! You have successfully reset your Alipay account password!
