Forgot your Taobao account password? Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. It is very easy to reset your Taobao account password. Below is a step-by-step guide on recovering your account.
Launch your Taobao app. Tap on the My Accounts button to login to your account.
Tap on Login with Alipay button, as shown below, to login your Taobao account using your Alipay app.
Tap Log In in the Alipay App as shown below to login to your Taobao account using your Alipay account.
The Alipay app will direct you back to the Taobao App. You are now logged in to your Taobao account, even if you don't remember your password.
Launch your Taobao app. Tap on the My Accounts button to login to your account.
Tap on the Login with Account and Password button as shown below.
Tap on the Forgot Password button as shown below.
Enter your Taobao account username, which is your country code and your mobile phone number, in the format x-xxxxxxxxxx or xx-xxxxxxxx, depending on your country's area code. For example, if you are using a US mobile phone number, the format you would enter is 1-3216549870.
Slide the slider to the right after entering your mobile phone number as shown below to authenticate that you are human.
Within a few seconds, Taobao servers would send you an SMS with the verification code, as shown below.
Enter the verification code sent to you from the SMS into the Taobao App's textbox, as shown below.
Tap on the Next button after you have entered your verification code, as shown below.
Enter your new password for Taobao. It must be between 6 to 20 characters, including at least 2 alphanumeric characters and 2 special characters.
Tap on the Next button to confirm your new password, as shown below.
You will then be taken to the main screen of the Taobao app, and you are now logged in to your Taobao account.
Congratulations! You have successfully reset your Taobao account password!
